Yoni Azulay is a Philadelphia-born filmmaker and producer based in New York City. He recently
graduated with his MBA from NYU Stern and is currently completing his MFA in Film Producing at NYU
Tisch as part of NYU’s dual MBA/MFA program.

He previously earned his B.F.A. in Film & TV Production from Tisch in 2022.

Yoni currently reads for Fruit Tree, Emma Stone’s production company, where he evaluates screenplays,
books, and underlying IP for film and television consideration.

Professionally, Yoni has worked across development, acquisitions, literary coverage, packaging, and
talent management through roles at Lionsgate, Untitled Entertainment, Hammerstone Studios and Public
Record. He is also the founder of Bluestone Pictures, a narrative production company currently
developing its first feature film.

Yoni is drawn to stories that explore who people are through what they do, often in relation to insecurity,
jealousy and obsession. He has an interest in stories that pop and make audiences gasp.

His work has screened at festivals including SXSW, HollyShorts, Woodstock, and the Nashville Film
Festival. His undergraduate thesis film, Idle Speed, had the distinction of being the only UGFTV student
production at NYU to receive full risk management approval to feature a practical car explosion.
